A lap of the A1-Ring with Giancarlo Fisichella:

"Just before the start/finish line, I change into top gear crossing the line at around 270km/h and accelerate up the steep hill towards the Castrol Kurve."

"At the brow of the hill I'm doing just under 300kmh and then I brake for the first corner, which I take at 120kmh in second gear. The entry into this corner is quite hard to see and it is very important to get good traction on the exit for the downhill section leading to turn two."

"On the second straight, I reach about 295kmh in top gear before braking for the Remus Kurve, which is taken in first gear at around 65kmh. In this corner, I need to use the curbs well to get a good exit onto the third straight which, like all the straights in Austria, has a terminal speed of around 300kmh."

"The next corner is a very long second-gear corner, which I will apex at just under 95kmh. It steers into a short fifth-gear straight, where I reach 270kmh before going into the very challenging, fast, double left-hand corner. I hold fourth gear all the way through this corner, entering the first part at around 190kmh and balancing the car with a little left foot braking to apex at around 160kmh. I then briefly accelerate up to 245kmh and stay in fourth gear before tackling the second part of the corner, where I have to bring the speed back down to around 180kmh."

"A fast right-hand kink follows this corner and although I experience high lateral G, we don't consider this a corner as it is easily flat. This leads into the uphill straight where for the fourth time in the lap I have a terminal speed of just under 300kmh to enter the Jochen Rindt Kurve in fourth gear at around 200kmh. A very short downhill section then leads me into the final corner, the Mobilkom Kurve, where I drop down to third gear and apex at around 150kmh, trying to get a clean exit to get back to the finish line."
