Minardi might be suffering from financial hardship, but solid development is continuing to maximise its chances at future races.
The Faenza squad last week completed a useful two-day aerodynamics test at the Vairano circuit near Milan, Italy, in preparation for the demanding Canadian Grand Prix this coming weekend.
Minardi will be hoping for a better weekend in Canada than they had in Monaco

Many aerodynamic configurations were tested as well as new parts. Test driver Matteo Bobbi shouldered the driving responsibilities, and completed 603 kilometres over two days.
‘I feel pretty satisfied with the work done over the past two days because we have completed an extensive technical programme prepared by the engineers,’ Bobbi said. ‘Both sessions were trouble-free and turned out to be very productive.'
Minardi Chief Aerodynamicist Loic Bigois said he was very pleased with what had been achieved.
‘We have completed two days of intensive work here in Vairano, where our main goal was primarily aerodynamic testing,’ said the Frenchman.
‘Apart from analysing a considerable amount of aerodynamic data, we were also able to do some development work in preparation for the Canadian Grand Prix. We are more than satisfied with the outcome of this test session.’
